Services

Websites, Built to Modern Standards.

Fully custom-coded builds, template and CMS work, rescues, tune‑ups, and everything in between — scoped to what your business actually needs, never squeezed into a tier. And whatever we build, you own everything from day one.

  • Custom Website Builds

Custom-coded HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP — modern compliance standards built in, not bolted on: WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility, mobile-first responsiveness, and speed from the first byte. And never at the cost of personality — custom code is where a site gets to look like nothing else on the internet.

  • Fixes & Rescues

Broken layouts, mystery errors, slow pages, a developer who vanished — I take over sites in any state, debug the code, optimize what's dragging, and put things right, from the front end down through hosting and cPanel. You'll get a plain-English report of what I found and what I changed.

  • CMS & Platform Projects

Templates, page builders, WordPress and other CMS platforms — I work fluently in all of them, building new or improving what you have, to the same standards as my custom work. The right platform is the one that serves your business, and I'll tell you honestly which one that is.

  • Monthly Webmaster Care

Weekly checks, security monitoring, backups kept thirty days, and a monthly hour of small updates — month to month, cancel with thirty days' notice, on any host, CMS, or builder, no matter who built the site. Your site stays fast, current, and yours, without you having to think about it.

  • Free Website Reviews

The no-obligation starting point: I look over your current site and walk you through prioritized fixes, speed and mobile notes, and an accessibility check — plus a free first consultation about what a build, redesign, or fix would involve. No cost, no strings, no pressure.

The Baseline

What Every Build Includes.

These aren't add-ons and they aren't upsells — they're the floor. Every site that leaves the lab ships with all of it, whichever service you hire.

  • Mobile-First 320px floor
  • Accessibility WCAG 2.2 AA
  • Performance CWV green
  • Search-Ready SEO built in
  • Security HTTPS · CSP
  • Ownership 100% yours
  • Mobile-first, responsive design — built for the 320px phone before the 4K monitor, tested across the whole ladder in between.
  • Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA — semantic HTML, keyboard paths, screen-reader-tested patterns, honest contrast.
  • Speed as a feature — optimized images, no framework bloat, tuned for real phones on patchy East Tennessee signal.
  • Search-engine fundamentals — clean structure, meta and social tags, readable URLs, and a sitemap search engines can actually use.
  • Security hardening — HTTPS everywhere, protected forms, current standards on every line I write.
  • Ownership, documented — your domain, your hosting, your files, in your accounts, with a plain-English handoff guide.

Field Manual

More than People Might Realize.

"Web designer" undersells it. The work here runs from visual design and front-end craft — creative, current, visually appealing sites in modern webpage authoring languages — through the back end that makes front ends work: APIs, forms and their server-side handling, hosting environments, and cPanel administration handled like the daily tool it is here.

That includes e‑commerce, in both of its common forms: cart and product databases built directly on MySQL and PHP, or storefronts integrated with the third-party payment processors and hosted cart platforms a business already relies on. Reliable e‑commerce comes down to how the pieces connect — the storefront, the data, and the payment layer — and that architecture is a core competency here.

Between those ends sits everything a working website needs over its life: management, monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization — on custom code, templates, or any CMS, regardless of who built it. If it's part of making a website excellent and keeping it that way, it's probably already on the bench in this lab.

Flight Plan

How a Project Runs.

No mystery, no black box. Every project moves through the same five stages, and you'll always know which one we're in.

  1. Stage 01 · No Obligation

    Free Review

We start with your current site (or your idea for one) — a free review and first consultation, in plain English. It obligates you to exactly nothing.

  2. Stage 02 · In Writing

    Proposal & Scope

A written Scope of Work that says exactly what's being built, what it costs, and when it lands — which is precisely what protects your budget.

  3. Stage 03 · You Approve

    The Build

Design and code with your review built into the schedule. You review real pages on your actual phone — nothing advances without your approval.

  4. Stage 04 · In Your Name

    Launch

Tested, checked for speed and accessibility, then deployed to hosting in your name — everything in your accounts from day one.

  5. Stage 05 · Never Locked In

    Care (If You Want It)

Monthly webmaster care, month to month — or take the keys and run it yourself. Either way, you're never locked in.

Pricing Philosophy

Scoped to the Work. Never to a Tier.

I don't sell Bronze, Silver, and Gold packages, because your business isn't a package — and honestly, neither is my work. Every project is quoted against its actual scope: the pages, features, and content it genuinely needs, whether that's a custom-coded build, a CMS project, or an afternoon of debugging.

The facts: fixed-fee projects bill in milestones tied to your approvals, smaller jobs bill by the hour, and every number is in writing before anything starts. The full breakdown — rates, milestones, and how it all works — is on the Pricing page.

  • $40/hr standard
  • $60/hr rush
  • 50 / 25 / 25 milestones
  • Net 7 invoicing
  • 1 hr minimum, hourly work

And the promise underneath all of it: you own everything. Your domain, your hosting, your files, your content — in your accounts, from day one. If we ever part ways, your website doesn't.

Honest Fit

Are We a Good Fit?

We're Likely a Strong Fit If…

  • You're a small business, nonprofit, artist, or local government office that wants a site done right.
  • Fast, accessible, and easy to find matter more to you than trendy.
  • You want a real person to reach when something needs changing — the same person who built it.
  • You value every number in writing before work begins.

Possibly Not the Right Studio If…

  • You need enterprise-scale infrastructure — warehouse and ERP integrations, a dedicated development team on call.
  • You need a same-week turnaround on a full build.
  • You're searching for the lowest-price option the internet can offer.

No hard feelings either way — if it isn't a fit, I'll say so on the first call and point you somewhere honest.
